Sailor V
Before fighting evil together with the other senshi, Mina used to be active as Sailor V. ("V" is for "Venus" if you didn't know^^) She used to live in England which means that she was actually the first senshi, discovered by her cat Artemis. She is presented as an idol both in the Manga and the Anime. Being Sailor V, she was popular before joining the other Senshi. In the series, there is a Sailor V doll and video game. Usagi is a fan of her before
she even knows who she is. She has even got her own Manga called "Codename wa Sailor V" which was published before "Bishoujo Senshi Sera Mun" in Japan.
After transforming into Sailor Venus instead of Sailor V, her outfit changes. By "transforming", I do not mean the usual henshin the Senshi do but a thing that happened only once (which we don't get to see). The only thing that is seen as a hint that was Sailor V is her mask she used to wear to not show her eyes. When joining the others, she takes them off and from now on fights as Sailor Venus only. The reason why she left England and joined the others is hidden in a tragic love story in which she was involved. In England, she fell in love with a guy named Alan who himself dated her best friend Katarina. After finding out, Mina pretended to be killed in an explosion during a mission and left England making her friends believe she was dead. She never told her new friends about why she left England - a short view of her past is only seen in her memory.
